Something happened nearly 3 weeks ago that saddened me so much that it's taken until now for me to be able to write about it. But I'm glad I waited because the story had a happy ending a couple of days ago.

Herman is a 10 month old beautiful grey/silver part Burmese who lives with his brother George. I look after them when their human carer, Andy, goes away. He went on Saturday morning for a weekend away, and hadn't seen Herman before he went. He wasn't too concerned as Herman is quite adventurous, likes to go off exploring, and always comes back safely. Went out to feed a cat early this morning, and when I came back there were two ducks - actually a duck and a drake - sitting on my neighbour's front lawn in the sun. The river's not so far away, but it's the first time I've seen them happily sitting in a front garden here. Picked up Bella to show her through the porch window, was the first time she'd seen ducks and she was completely open-mouthed!
