So very sad to say that my mother has passed away the Tuesday before this past one.  She went in her sleep at around 3:30am although the official time was 6:15am.  They tried to revive her but it was way too late.  We were so encouraged that she would be home in 4 - 6 weeks from the rehab facility.  The image of her was taken the Saturday before the Tuesday she passed away.  It hurts so much and she was my buddy and my best friend.  We shared many good times together.  She was the coolest, down to earth, and loving mom and human being I've known.  I could be biased but heck, I'm her first born son.  In peace, KTP

I am so sorry this took so long.  I have been devastated at the loss of my Mom.  We were the best of friends in addition to having the relationship of Mother and Son.  The pain is still so deep and the wound is still so fresh.  I know one day the joy will take over as she has crossed over into the best existence of all.  I'm not sure about reincarnation but I have a feeling she got it right this time and will stay with source (God) this time.  She had love and smiles for everyone.  She was in pain much of the time and if you knew her, you'd say she didn't deserve it.  My Mother was abused as a child and as wife.  We as children (My Brother, Sister, and I) weren't much help to her after the divorce.  We didn't know what a treasure we had in our Mom.  We were aimlessly wandering through life and devastated by the divorce.  My Mom endured so much stress and misfortune and still loved this life, us, and all others in it.  Every time I turn around I find myself wanting to talk to her about something, ask her something, and saying to myself I'm gonna have to call her.  One of the things I do and told her I would do is feed her squirrels and birds.  She lived in an apartment beside a church and the back yard was full of nature.  She hammered a squirrel feeder on the side of a tree and put up a bird feeder.  I would take her to the store so she could buy squirrel feed, bird seed, and unsalted in the shell peanuts.  She would sit back there much of the time and just soak up the peace and the nature.  The one Mother squirrel would come to her (or me) and take nuts right out of our hands.  She would place her paws gently on our thumbs, take one nut, and just sit there til we'd give her another.  She would then go bury one and come back and eat the other in front of us.  The breeze that blew back through that little yard was beautiful on a hot day.  It was as if was keeping my Mom cool on hot days.  We had some of our best conversations and moments in that back yard.  I'll be going over there tomorrow to check on those little critters and spend some time with Mom's spirit.  Peace, Love, and blessings, Hugh
