February 24^th to the 26^th will see the launch of a brand new event for the people of Cumbria.  Event Organiser, Elaine Fenton says, ‘The Mind, Body & Spirit Weekend at The Wave Centre, Maryport is all set to bring a warm spark of magic to Cumbria on a cold winter’s weekend’.  The exhibition will include a wonderful array of stands to enjoy with holistic exhibitors, spiritual workers, readers  & creative artists as well as practitioners from across a range of healing and complementary therapies from across the UK.  Alongside this, there will be workshops, talks, clairvoyance and musical performances running throughout. For the children, Magical Mel and Jelli Nelli will be with us, sharing some great creative activities, Face Painting, Relax Kids Sessions and Treasure Hunt – so really, something for all the family.

Special guests at the weekend include professional musicians Dragonfly Moon, Susan Garlick and Scott Jasper, with master drummer Scott running a series of popular drumming workshops as well as a special lunchtime performance by Dragonfly. The multi-talented and ever popular ‘Highland Seer’ herself, Barbara Meiklejohn Free will be hosting some of her highly acclaimed Shamanic workshops as well as musical performances by  ‘Heaven on Earth’ the newly created band with musical partner Flavia Kate Peters. Lara Wells will join us for a series of demonstrations and interesting workshops. Keith Shadowhawk  Adams brings his haunting Native American Flute performances and workshops whilst American Peace Troubador and talented singer songwriter Carole Isis will be adding her own stunning music to make the weekend really special.

The event bursts to life on Friday 24^th at 7pm in the theatre with a Uniquely Special Evening of Clairvoyance and Music, ‘Messages from the World of Spirit’, Barbara Meiklejohn Free, Lara Wells and the Healing Magic of The Native American Flute, with Keith Shadowhawk Adams. Entry to the exhibition costs £4 daily (under 14’s free) and runs from 10am to 5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday 25^th/26^th February 2012.
Entry to all workshops (around 36) talks and daytime performances costs £4 for a weekend ticket.
